My name is Stephanie and I’m Cail’s Mom! But I am much more than Cail’s Mom, I am a wife, daughter, sister, friend, co-worker and Mother. Although, being Cail’s Mom is the most important job in my life, I do have other jobs and responsibilities. I am a working Mom, I work in the mining/drilling industry and have for the past 10 years. I do a lot of travelling for work and that takes me away from home every 3-4 months for a week or two at a time. My husband, Jonathan works from home and is the most supportive person in my journey.
Now, why I am here writing this today. Besides, my above picture perfect life there have been a lot of struggles as well. I was an overweight teen, and have battled with my weight for as long as I can remember! I have gone through periods of success, with different programs and different plans. Everything from Weight Watchers to Dr. Bernstein and everything in between. I have had personal trainers, training with friends, boot camps and running clinics. It has been tough, but I have learned a lot from all of those things. And I guess I just want to share my experiences. If I can reach just one person, that will make this worth while.
So, follow along and I will share with you what I am going through, and have gone through in my life.
Update – I lost my job in December 2013 at a very hard time in my life, Cail was only 18 months and my husband had lost his job one month earlier. This blog started when I was training to compete in my first fitness show in November 2013. I did not compete that year, I struggled at the end losing weight too fast and having to lose more in order to compete. My head was not in it, and it takes a lot more mental strength than it does physical. I am at it again, started training in March 2014 after finding a great new job in February. My show is November 8, 2014 and I will be competing in the figure category.
